Jax.Network launches the MainNet

Three years of research later, we finally rolled out the MainNet. The past few months had been really intense and productive in terms of new products development and fundraising. Read the article to learn more about our blockchain, technical updates, and future plans.
On October 31, 2021, thirteen years after the release of the original Bitcoin whitepaper, we launched the MainNet! Feel free to check the blockchain explorer here. This article gives a comprehensive description of the network boot parameters, which will come in handy while estimating the prospective price of JAX. During the TestNet period, we fixed major bugs, improved efficiency, and optimized all the processes in order to make sure that users of our blockchain get the top-quality product. However, if you find anything else to improve in our code, we would really appreciate you leaving the feedback here.
We also promised to deliver some crucial features and applications upon the MainNet launch. We certainly intend to keep our promise and you can expect the merge-mining API, the updated wallet, and the bridge for swapping WJXN to JXN to be released in the coming week. In addition, you will be able to find a list of supported pools on our website this month. Stay tuned!
It’s important to mention that we plan to introduce the first DeFi application for Jax.Network this month. The platform will allow users to issue localized derivatives such as J-USD, J-INR, etc. by swapping them for WJAX. Apart from the practical application of localized stable coins, users will have multiple opportunities to receive yield. More information will be published here soon.

You can notice that the premine is included in the genesis block (0 height / 9e83bbdf3c546416eb8aa47f618b4f947221ce3c9e10be2881bd7ec126611142 hash) which is linked to the Bitcoin block (707634 height / 000000000000000001d42da1a61b9d016f66a672b3046fcaad1d27988be4c78d hash) as proof that the mining hasn’t been started before it. Please note that the entire premine is diluted over 5 years, hence, the rewards are higher in the beginning and will be decreasing over time, so it’s advisable to start mining the network as early as possible to get an advantage.
