Philosophy behind the name Jax
by Maryna Trifonova, Head of Content at Jax.Network

Some of you have wondered why our company is named Jax.Network and our stablecoin is called JAX. Obviously, there is a pretty good reason for that, which corresponds to our philosophy. This is the first article that starts explaining our founder’s philosophical vision of this company and the world at large. More is yet to be published here.
Jaxism and its main principles
Vinod Manoharan, our founder, came up with this philosophy of Jaxism a couple of years ago, exactly when the network was in the R & D phase. First of all, you have to understand that Mr. Manoharan is a libertarian, who believes that people ought to have the freedom to do whatever they choose, so long as they do not infringe upon other people’s rights, freedoms, and liberties. He also believes that the state or government in charge should uphold the aforementioned values of justice and anti-corruption to make sure that everyone living under their jurisdiction has a level playing field, so to speak, and have their rights protected. Blockchain technology allows for immutable data and hence minimizes corruption leading to a transparent society that champions justice.
“I hope that in sharing the introduction and basics of my philosophy, you too may reflect on your own philosophy and on what drives you as a human being. In my personal opinion, good philosophy is one that can be accepted by the masses without hesitation, one that can apply to people from all walks of life,” Vinod Manoharan claims.
So, what is Jaxism? It is the philosophy of the individual’s pursuit of happiness in a society that champions Justice and Anti-Corruption, hence Jax (JACs or Justice and Anti-Corruption System). Those who adhere to the principles of Jax are called Jaxians and any society that practices Jaxism is a Jaxist society.
Why is it important?
Democracy is not perfect, but it is the best method to bring about change and the best method for serving people. In a Jaxist society, elections are held to place people in positions of power, those of whom are highly accountable by the people for their actions. Humans are intrinsically driven by emotion, this may vary from person to person, but on the whole, quite true. The accountability that is present in Jaxist societies makes sure that human emotions are kept in check, this, in turn, creates a society that is just and averse to corruption.
Furthermore, another pillar of the philosophy of Jaxism is the emphasis on scientific advancements. As a species, humans should move away from their primitive emotions towards scientific advancements in a civilized society. Through science we can truly transcend our current being and become more advanced as a species — this is one of the ultimate goals of Jaxism and it should be a central goal for our species as a whole.
Our blockchain platform allows for the creation of Layer-2 decentralized autonomous corporations which will uphold the principles of Jaxism. Our community could expect that our own companies would organize as DACs, based on a decentralized validator set built by a Proof-of-Hashrate burn mechanism (Proof-of-Equity).
Conclusion
We believe that by communicating our philosophy we get a better bond with our community, which may happen to share our vision and decide to support our project not only because of great tech but also because of our worldview.
