Jacksonville plays series finale in Chattanooga
CHATTANOOGA, Tenn. — The Jacksonville Jumbo Shrimp continue their 10-game road trip with the finale of a five-game series Friday against the Chattanooga Lookouts, Double-A affiliate of the Minnesota Twins, at AT&T Field at 7:15 p.m.
On Thursday, Chattanooga’s Randy LeBlanc pitched six scoreless innings to outduel Jumbo Shrimp right-hander Nick Neidert in a 3–1 Lookouts win.

On Friday night, Jumbo Shrimp right-hander Jeff Brigham (2–0, 0.00 ERA), named the Southern League Pitcher of the Week on Monday, makes his third start, opposed by Chattanooga left-hander Lewis Thorpe (0–1, 5.40 ERA).
Earlier Thursday, the Miami Marlins recalled right-hander Merandy Gonzalez from Jacksonville, making him the first Jumbo Shrimp this season to be promoted to the major leagues from the Double-A affiliate’s roster. Below is the release on Gonzalez’s call up.
