Jumbo Shrimp close out series with doubleheader

The Jacksonville Jumbo Shrimp will close out their series against the Biloxi Shuckers with a doubleheader tonight at MGM Park at 6:35 p.m. ET.

Monday the Jumbo Shrimp lost their second straight game in Biloxi, falling to the Shuckers 7–1. Yesterday’s game was postponed due to rain in Biloxi.

The clubs will make up the game as part of a doubleheader of two seven-inning games on Wednesday night at 6:35 p.m. eastern (5:35 p.m. local time in Biloxi) to close out the series. There will be a 30-minute intermission in between games one and two of the doubleheader.

Right-handed pitcher James Needy (0–0, 0.00 ERA) will start for Jacksonville against Biloxi right-handed pitcher Jon Perrin (5–3, 3.19 ERA) in the first game of the doubleheader. In game two, Jacksonville right-handed pitcher Joe Gunkel (5–9, 5.24 ERA) will face Biloxi right-hander Cody Ponce (1–0, 0.00 ERA).
