The Jacksonville Jumbo Shrimp will continue their six-game series with the Mobile BayBears tonight at 7:05 p.m.

Yesterday the Shrimp and BayBears split a doubleheader, with Mobile winning the first game 2–1, and Jacksonville taking the nightcap 9–4.

The Miami Marlins announced a series of transactions that impact their Double-A affiliate Jacksonville Jumbo Shrimp roster prior to tonight’s game against the Mobile BayBears at the Baseball Grounds of Jacksonville at 7:05 p.m.

Right-handed starting pitcher Edward Cabrera has been transferred from Jacksonville’s injured list to the active roster. Cabrera had been on Jacksonville’s injured list since August 1, and is expected to start for Jacksonville tonight against Mobile. Cabrera with Jacksonville has been 4–1 with a 2.60 ERA in six starts, with 37 strikeouts compared to 11 walks in 34 and two-thirds innings. Cabrera is regarded by MLB Pipeline as the Marlins №7 prospect.

In a corresponding move right-handed pitcher Kolton Mahoney has been transferred from Jacksonville to Triple-A New Orleans. Mahoney has pitched in 27 games and made nine starts for the Jumbo Shrimp, going 4–4 with a 3.19 ERA. Earlier this season with New Orleans, Mahoney made two appearances and one start, going 1–0 with a 3.38 ERA.

Additionally, infielder Bryson Brigman has been transferred to Jacksonville’s injured list. Brigman has played in 98 games with Jacksonville, hitting .250 with two home runs and 24 RBI.

In a corresponding move, infielder Justin Twine has been transferred from the temporary inactive list to Jacksonville’s active roster. Twine has played in 103 games for Jacksonville this year, hitting .242 with a home run and 31 RBI.

Additionally, Miami Marlins right-handed pitcher Jose Urena’s major league rehab assignment has been transferred from Jacksonville to Triple-A New Orleans. Urena in two appearances and one start was 0–0 with a 0.00 ERA, working two and two-thirds scoreless innings on the mound.
