The Jacksonville Jumbo Shrimp will wrap up their 10-game homstand by facing the Jackson Generals at 6:35 p.m. ET.

The Generals ended Jacksonville’s seven-game winning streak last night by defeating the Jumbo Shrimp 4–2 last night.

Marco LaNave also visited with last night’s acting manager Jesus Merchan in the clubhouse (Randy Ready was away at his son’s high school graduation).

We also had a special night of visitors join us on the Jumbo Shrimp Network, presented by Community First.

First for “Golf Night” we were joined by PGA Tour golfer Jim Furyk, who spoke with us on behalf of The Jim and Tabitha Furyk Foundation.

Then later in the fifth inning the President of Minor League Baseball Pat O’Connor stopped by to give his thoughts on the state of the game.

The Jumbo Shrimp conclude their series with Jackson at 6:35 p.m. Sunday, when Jumbo Shrimp right-hander Mike Kickham (1–3) is scheduled to face Generals left-hander Josh Taylor (3–3).

Gates open at 5:30 p.m. for Navy Mutual Military Appreciation Night. Presented by Navy Mutual Life Insurance, veterans, active, retired and former military and their dependents receive free general admission or reserved tickets. All attendees with the military member must be present, and the member show an active military or veteran ID, at the Baseball Grounds of Jacksonville box office to receive free tickets. Baptist Health Sunday Family FUNday begins with pregame catch on the field and concludes with kids 12 and under running the bases after the game. Free face painting, balloon animals, and Ninja Turtle characters will be on the concourse. It is also MiLB Sun Saftey Initiative Day.
