The Jacksonville Jumbo Shrimp look to end a three-game losing streak, as they host the Biloxi Shuckers tonight at the Baseball Grounds of Jacksonville at 7:05 p.m.

Yesterday the Shuckers won a tight game 3–1 to claim a series win.

Below are video highlights from last night’s game, as well as the radio recap with highlights from last night’s Jumbo Shrimp Network broadcast.

Marco LaNave also visited with Jacksonville manager Randy Ready in the clubhouse.

The Jumbo Shrimp continue their series with Biloxi at 7:05 p.m. Thursday, when Jacksonville right-hander Chris Mazza (0–1) is scheduled to face Shuckers right-hander Luis Ortiz (1–3).

Gates open at 6 p.m. for Mavericks Live and Budweiser Thirsty Thursday, when fans can purchase $1 12-oz. and $2 24-oz. beers adjacent to the new Budweiser Tiki Terrace, on the left-field berm, atop the right-field bleachers, and at the Oasis concession stand behind Section 115. The game is also presented by 95.1 WAPE and X102.9.

The Miami Marlins also made a pair of roster moves that affect the Jumbo Shrimp going into tonight’s game.

Right-handed starting pitcher Joe Gunkel, who was on the Marlins’ 40-man roster, was designated for assignment. Gunkel was 0–1 with a 4.50 ERA in two starts for Jacksonville. Gunkel was designated for assignment to make room on the 40-man roster for infielder Stephen Lombardozzi, who was selected by the Marlins yesterday from Triple-A New Orleans. The Marlins now have 10 days to trade, release, or put Gunkel on waivers where he can be claimed by another organization.

In a corresponding move, left-handed relief pitcher Greg Nappo has been transferred from Triple-A New Orleans to Jacksonville. With the Baby Cakes, Nappo had no wins or losses and a 3.38 ERA in a pair of relief outings. Nappo previously spent time with Jacksonville in April, where he had no wins or losses and a 1.29 ERA in his seven innings of work where he struck out nine batters.
