Doubleheader to close out Smokies series

The Jacksonville Jumbo Shrimp and Tennessee Smokies will wrap up their series with a doubleheader at the Baseball Grounds of Jacksonville at 4 p.m.
Last night’s game was postponed due to rain and wet grounds at the Baseball Grounds, creating today’s twinbill.
Friday night Jacksonville won 3–2 in dramatic fashion, thanks to a bottom of the ninth walk-off RBI single by Chris Diaz.

Marco also visited with Jacksonville manager Randy Ready in the clubhouse.
The Jumbo Shrimp conclude their series with Tennessee in a doubleheader at 1:05 p.m. Sunday. Gates open at 12:30 p.m. for Baptist Health Sunday Family FUNday.
In Game One, Jumbo Shrimp right-hander Chris Mazza (1–6, 3.23 ERA) will face Smokies right-hander Adbert Alzolay (0–1, 2.70 ERA). Game two’s pitching matchup will feature Jacksonville right-hander Omar Bencomo (4–4, 4.92 ERA) against Tennessee right-hander Zach Hedges (7–5, 3.75 ERA).
The Jumbo Shrimp will wear Jacksonville Red Caps jerseys for Game 1 of the doubleheader. Before Game 1, fans can visit a Jumbo Shrimp player autograph booth. In between games, families can play catch on the field. Free face painting, balloon animals, and kids crafts activities will be available in the Wolfson Children’s Hospital Kids Zone, and Elmo will be at the ballpark to greet fans. Following the doubleheader, kids 12 and under can run the bases. Fans may drop off non-perishable food items to the box office for the Bush Brothers Food Drive benefiting Feeding Northeast Florida, in partnership with BUSH’S® Beans, and kids 12 and under will receive a free ticket to the doubleheader. The game is also presented by Channel 4 The Local Station.
