Inside Look: Discover Jazz Sports Fest

It is very easy to get stuck in the rut and become too busy in our work routines, to not be able to allocate time to physical activity and sports. Jazz’s People & Organization, focusing on the employee health and well-being, drives the agenda for a better and harmonious lifestyle under the “Live Happy, Live Well” philosophy.

To end the year on a high note, People & Organization put together “Sports Fest” which spanned over two weeks and brought a lot of excitement to the Jazz office’s throughout the country. More than 1400 employees registered and the event went live in all regions, bringing everyone together. Sports Fest kicked off in the start of December for in-office games like board games, snooker, foosball, table tennis, badminton, and many more. In cities like Islamabad, there was a hiking and cycling activity organized while in Karachi, employees participated in a bowling and cooking competition. The first week of the games saw a great employee turnout and perfectly set the stage for the next wave of games in the second and final week.

The final week brought with it the frenzy and passion for cricket and football. The most fascinating aspect for these predominantly male sports was the participation and sportsman spirit of women at Jazz. It also showcased the “Collaborative” spirit at Jazz where employees joined teams across functions and all management tiers. Many employees volunteered for becoming team liaisons, “Sailors” who coordinated for various games and regions to ensure a seamless experience for the participants. Sports Fest concluded with a grand “Family Gala”, organized at all office locations where employees not only got recognized for their victory and participation but they were also able to share their joy with their families and loved ones.
