I always counsel people to ask for help early and often. Sharing how you feel and gathering other people’s experience is a way of asking for help.
I wake up every day with some thread of thought rolling through my head. It takes the form of a safety check-in … touching base with my family and friends to make sure that they are okay, taking care of the dogs, taking stock of the world and sharing the song that won’t leave my head until I play it once. I give and get along the way and start the day in a mode where I’ve sat in peace, checked in on my world, learned something new and shared along the way.
