Development progress and product improvements from JET8
JET8 Wallet
As the number of communitites within the JET8 network of DEN’s (Decentralized Engagement Networks) grows, the work continues on scaling the platform to give better support to thousands of communities simultaneously.
In order to do so we’re making upgrades to the JET8 SDK, which currently holds all the Events Handling, Assets Marketplace, User Wallet and Mobile Commerce Shop.
With the improvements of the SDK, we now find it simpler and easier to implement libraries whilst it becomes more lightweight and agile. We’re achieving this by decoupling the User Wallet, Communities Discovery and Mobile Commerce Shop into a separate app; a dedicated new standalone JET8 Crypto Wallet.
We’re looking forward to being able to share more details with you in the following weeks!
Apps as a Service (APPaaS) & Communities
As JET8’s number of DEN’s (Decentralized Engagement Networks) continues to grow swiftly, we’re developing a DEN “Appstore” page that allows anyone to search and discover new communities, with navigation by categories, a fully-fledged search, and customised app landing pages with dedicated artwork. This great improvement in discovering communities will be deployed during the next 2 weeks.
In addition, we have also concreted the deployment of the new apps landing pages, with enhanced customisation features and options to make them more appealing to the general public.
Team Growth
As critical development efforts continue, the Development team also sees the incorporation of new members. As planned, this week we have added a new Android Engineer, a new iOS Engineer, a new React Native Engineer, and a new QA to our Development team in Barcelona.
