This week JET8 welcomes a new team member to the Philippines and a new client to South Africa.

John Galang Joins JET8 as Director of Growth & Development Philippines

JET8’s team continues to grow with a critical hire in its largest market — the Philippines. John Galang, whose experience includes roles with Yahoo in the U.S. and Philippines, joins JET8 as Director of Growth & Development Philippines. In this newly created role, John will be tasked with sales and business development across new and existing clients and product offerings, as well as helping lead local marketing efforts and the expansion of JET8’s sales team in the Philippines.

John brings tremendous experience to the role having worked in the digital marketing space for 15 plus years, with a specialty in online advertising and digital media and mobile strategies for brands in both the U.S. and Philippines. In addition to Yahoo, John’s experience includes Head of Engagement for Komli Networks, an official reseller of Facebook and Twitter. He was also instrumental in the development of tech agency, AdParlor, in the Philippines, focusing on strategy for platforms such as Facebook, Twitter, YouTube, and Google Search.

John will be based in Manila. He starts officially on May 15th.

Campaigns keep coming as Spur Steak Ranches goes live in South Africa

JET8 is pleased to welcome South African restaurant chain, Spur Steak Ranches, to the platform, with a new campaign that went live April 23rd. The popular restaurant chain has 285 locations.

Targeting Millennials and young parents, the campaign salutes Mom and her role as the leader of the family tribe, as Spur looks to tap JET8’s peer-to-peer engagement power to emphasis its strong family values.

Content creators can exchange the JETS they earn for Spur vouchers, redeemable at Spur locations everywhere.
