This week, the JET8 Foundation gains another Board Advisor and strengthens connections with the sports industry, whilst universities use JET8 apps to galvanise their student communities.
Free kick for the JET8 Foundation with sports-savvy Board Advisor
The JET8 Foundation today announced the appointment of their second Board Advisor, sports marketing veteran Joelle Macoin.
Over the past 20 years, Ms. Macoin has been an integral cog in the machinations of the sports industry, with an international career working with high profile clients such as FIFA and the ISL Worldwide (International Sports Marketing Agency).
JET8 Foundation Board Chairman Victor Zabrockis says of the appointment: “Joelle brings such extensive knowledge in the operational management of major global sports properties, rights holders and brands. With her expertise in media relations, sponsorship and licensing, together with her extensive network within the sports industry — we are thrilled to welcome Joelle and we can’t wait to see what doors may open for the Foundation.”
The popularity of JET8’s full stack app for Sports Clubs continues to grow by the week, as both users and clubs recognise the benefits of hosting their own communities. The full stack app enables clubs to connect, reward and sell to their followers and fans, inspiring them to create and publish truly engaging content using Geo-frames and Geo-stickers. Users can earn JETS and redeem merchandise through the app, whilst the dashboard optimises marketing, sales, and sponsorship efforts with in-depth, real-time data.
For the past 8 years Ms. Macoin has served as Managing Director of BizBoosters GmbH, Switzerland, whilst her previous roles include Senior Vice President of Property & Business Development for Global Brands Group Lte, Singapore; and notably, as Head of Licensing and Sponsorship Sales for FIFA (Fédération Internationale de Football Association), Switzerland.
Apps for all, from the Philippines to South Africa
With 15 new app communities live to date, and 85 more expected in the next few months, JET8 community apps are proving their worth with social media users and fans globally.
Highlighting the diversity of these communities is the Madiba Moments app, which went live this week. The app enables Nelson Mandela supporters to connect, share his wisdom, and keep the spirit of his vision alive.
Some of the other recent additions to the JET8 family include gamer community app OptiCam, servicing fans of the American eSports Team OpTic; BlueEaglesCam (Ateneo de Manila University) and MaroonsCam (University of Philippines), supporting a thriving university sports culture.
These examples set an exciting precedent for the future of JET8 full stack apps, showing how communities can be built and thrive, anywhere in the world.
