Shannon Cullum talks Blockchain for Brands alongside Facebook and Go-Jek at NEXT Asia 2018

This November 21st, JET8’s Shannon Cullum will take to the stage at NEXT Asia 2018 to discuss Brands and the Blockchain. The cutting edge marketing and advertising conference stays abreast of evolving trends and technologies, and introduces senior marketers and agency professionals to the latest tools of the trade.

Over 150 high-profile attendees and industry peers are expected to attend, with JET8’s CEO joining a speaker lineup including Go-Jek, Facebook and Publicis Groupe.

Shannon Cullum has spent the past two decades in senior and CEO positions at some of the world’s leading advertising agencies, including Saatchi & Saatchi and MullenLowe. He describes his talking points:

“With the continual evolution of blockchain technology, significant and really exciting developments are occurring in how brands approach marketing, advertising, and their relationship to consumers in general. In my talk, I’ll be focusing on how blockchain redefines opportunities for brands, how decentralisation is changing the way we work, and the role of tokenisation.”

Using increased adoption of JET8’s blockchain-based technology over the recent months as an example, Shannon plans on showing exactly how far decentralised social media apps can take a brand, or a cause.

The event will address the rapidly evolving marketing technology, software, methods and practices that define the marketing landscape of today. With a focus on revenue growth, customer loyalty, engagement and lead generation, NEXT Asia 2018 promises to provide “a 360 view on marketing trends and insights to gear your brand up for the years ahead.”

JET8 joins Uber and Syntonic for MoMo South Africa

JET8 sets up shop in South Africa

In addition to their headquarters in Singapore, and R&D office in Barcelona, the past year has seen new JET8 offices established in Vietnam, the Philippines, and Indonesia. The latest edition in South Africa will be headed by Gerjo Hoffman, Director of Growth and Development for JET8 in Africa.

The former Chief Innovation Officer for Tencent Africa shared his thoughts on the steady adoption of new technologies, including decentralised engagement networks, and new sector growth in the region.

Director of Growth and Development for JET8 in Africa, Gerjo Hoffman: “I think it’s fair to say that South Africa has really come of age as an innovative and entrepreneurial nation in recent years. There is a high rate of adoption for the latest technologies, and decentralised social media apps are no exception. Being positioned here in South Africa gives JET8 the chance to connect with enthusiasts from a range of sectors.”
