Top South African Magazines Partner with New Social Media App

Cutting edge decentralised social media app allows everyday users in South Africa to purchase magazines, mobile airtime and food vouchers using social media influence.

The JET8-powered app, South AfriCAM today announced it has partnered with some of South Africa’s top magazines by leading media company, Media24.

From today, users across South Africa will be able to download the South AfriCAM app, giving them access to exclusive stickers and frames and the opportunity to earn JETPoints for their social influence.

South AfriCAM enables users to add branded stickers and frames from popular lifestyle magazine titles to their posts, including Huisgenoot, YOU, Drum, Move!, TRUE LOVE, Women’s Health and Men’s Health. Through the app’s built-in JET8 social currency, users are rewarded for their social influence and fan engagement. For every in-app like, comment, and share, users earn JETPoints, which can be used to redeem products online or over-the-counter across more than 2,500 retail stores in South Africa. Users are additionally rewarded JET Points for cross-posting onto external social media networks.

With South AfriCAM, users will be able to exchange their JETPoints for popular Media24 Lifestyle magazine titles, including: Huisgenoot, YOU, Drum, Move!, TRUE LOVE, Women’s Health and Men’s Health, Baba & Kleuter, Bicycling, Fairlady, Weg!, Go!, Tuis, Home, Runner’s World, Sarie, Your Baby, Your Pregnancy, Landbouweekblad, tvplus and more. Users will additionally be able to purchase mobile airtime from Cell C and food vouchers from Spur Steak Ranches with JET Points earned from social media engagement.
