8 Israeli Startups Are on The World Economic Forum Tech Pioneers List
The World Economic Forum has published the Tech Pioneers list of 2018. The list brings together 61 early-stage companies from around the world that are pioneering new technologies and innovations.
8 of these companies are Israeli. As reported by The Times of Israel, after the US, Israel has most companies on the list.
Among them, Utilis,a firm that utilizes satellite technology to detect water leaks; Vayyar, a maker of low-cost 3D imaging sensors; XM Cyber, which developed software to identify attacks; Innoviz Technologies that makes light detection for self-driving cars; Aqua Security, a cybersecurity company with the goal to increase security of software containers; Precognize, a firm that provides predictive maintenance software for industrial plants; and Raycatch, a company that developed a software application to allow remote and automatic detection of photovoltaic projects.
Last but not least, Water-Gen, a startup that aims at tansforming air into drinkable water.
The chosen startups join the World Economic Forum’s community for two years and become part of the Forum’s initiatives and events.
The startups chosen are ranging from the use of artificial intelligence in drug discovery, the development of autonomous vehicles, advancing cybersecurity and reducing food waste, to applying blockchain to a decentralized engagement platform.
