Japanese Minister of Economy, Trade and Industry Hiroshige Sekō will lead the largest delegation of Japanese businessmen in Israel this week.

As reported by Calcalist, the delegation from Japan will include 150 individuals from 90 companies, including executives from Toshiba, Mitsubishi and Hitachi.

Minister Sekō will meet with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and Israel’s Minister of Economy Eli Cohen on Tuesday, January 15.

Sekō’s already visited Israel in 2016. Also, in May Japanese Prime Minister Shinzō Abe visited Israel to meet with Netanyahu. That is because Japanese companies have been extremely interested in the Israeli market in the last years.

According to Calcalist, from 2013 to 2018, Japanese investors were responsible for 3% of the total capital raised by Israeli companies.
