The Jewish Economic Forum at the Opening of the New Israeli Consulate in Florence, Italy
On Wednesday, Nov. 11, the first honorary Israeli Consulate was inaugurated in Florence, headed by the Businessman Marco Carrai. Among those who attended the event are the Israeli Ambassador to Italy, Dror Eydar, the Mayor, Dario Nardella, and Senator Matteo Salvini, leader of the Lega party. The Chairman of Jewish Economic Forum (JEF), Jonathan Pacifici, was honored to represent JEF as the Keynote speaker.
Pacifici elaborated on the growing business relations the Israeli economy holds with Italy, and the wide potential. The Consul, Carrai, stressed in his remarks on the pivotal role of Pacifici in his process of getting close to Israel and the Jewish people. Pacifici said that he is confident that the new consulate will boost economic relations and bring many Italian companies to establish a presence in Israel.
The Israeli Ambassador thanked the new honorable Consul and called for the opening of another, new and promising page, opens in the history of both nations. Confidently, leading to new potential economical oriented collaborations in the future.
