“What everybody ought to know — When I said good bye to Ola Cabs and Hello to Hiver, 3 months ago!”
A campus recruit at Ola Cabs straight after completing MBA, was no less than a dream come true for someone so ambitious like me. The hunger to do well in my thoughtfully chosen area kept me moving up the ladder in the HR domain. The greed to work in a start up did not stop with Ola Cabs.
I took my journey to the next level. Decided to join yet another start up, a SaaS based company that converts Gmail into a powerful helpdesk, that has around 50 smart people in the office, with over 1000+ customers in 25+ countries across the world, that recently received Series A funding, and is based out of HSR layout. Yes, thats right! Its Hiver! A company that is extremely refreshing to work for.
I joined in the top level domain, which is both exciting and challenging department that helps any business to gain competitive advantage — known as HR department, designed to maximise the people through the strategic approach.
Inducción — Excitement at its peak, my inclusion to Hiver family
A two day induction at Hiver, was so beautifully planned and executed as against my expectations. I was awestruck all through the induction program. How does it feel when the founder of the company, so humble and ground to earth take you through the product training himself??..Exactly! I felt the same as you could image yourself feeling so deserving and prestigious to be a part of this session. I immediately became obsessed with the Hiver product idea that urged me to be a significant contributor. A quote by Larry Page took to my attention — “Always deliver more than expected.”.. :)..Yayyyy
Post session held on security, I was shown my new desk. Phew!!! Right opposite to the HR head??..Scary?? Nah!! I must say as it was smooth and fabulous as it could have been otherwise too. I was now a part of the most fun-loving, crazy, intelligent and smart bunch of HR people. Did I not mention about the unparalleled perks offered? Well then you must know this — A MacBook Air to work on(a welcome upgrade from Dell — now this bought a big smile on my face).. Mobile reimbursement(wow! Baatein karo ab dil khol kar, conditions applied*).. Monthly team outings(the ultimate business for brain relax).. Free lunch and snacks(OMG! which only meant weight-gain therapy for me?)..Medical insurance and many such perks(to enjoy these benefits join US😊)

A start up that knows how to keep its people together, a moment where we shared more than just the food. Yes!! There was love as much as a discipline, a commitment to a way of behaviour, the feeling of attachment and the need for each other to perform well and be a part of the company in its growth. It was a time well spent. High-five to this loveliest team 🤚
Celebrando Diwali — A reflection of our culture
Diwali celebrations at Hiver was yet another spectacular experience I had. Our office building was illuminated with majestic lightings, special lunch was organised for all its people. We all were dressed in our best ethnic attires to celebrate this very day. And much to my amazement, the founder took to standing in the long queue in Fabindia store just to buy an ethnic kurta?? A person who surely wanted to celebrate that oneness with his own people??!! Woohoo!! Wouldn’t something of this make you feel more close to your company?? So is Hiver and its people…
Viaje a Goa — The most awaited company trip to Goa
We were celebrating one of the most renowned fundings received just a few weeks ago — the Series A round, through the year end trip to this most attractive destinations of India — Goa. Celebrated our three days stay at Planet Hollywood Resort. I collected some of my best memories from there…I am sure you all did too 😀
Celebraciones de cumpleaños — A time to celebrate birth itself
Hell of a celebration this turned out to be — My birthday celebrations at Hiver!! Wow!! This was surely a day filled with full of excitement, cheerfulness, and pleasure. I was thrilled to celebrate this special day with such lovely, warm and beautiful people that radiate so much positivity into the ambiance. Okay! Have you ever being ordered your favourite food on your birthday by your head?? Well! I am sure nope! But I was!! I was ordered my yummy-mummy paneer pizza by my very own HR head..Hmmmmmmmmm!!! Well thats how I munched on it :) Wasn’t this sweet to the power of infinity??..It definitely was.
This was not it. Just like how your parents sign as a guarantee on the loan form, Hiver family signed their wishes on birthday card too, signalling their support and sureity to work as a part of the same Hiver family as long as we are together..Totally mesmerising feeling.. Ahhha! Lastly, but not the least was the moment most eagerly awaited. The cake cutting :) It was such a pleasure seeing all the members of the Hiver family come together, no matter what they are in the middle off, to spread their love and blessings..so much love and respect, that it became difficult to handle 😂😂
Been through so much already just in these three magical months, can’t wait to take my journey ahead with the company that is clearly so powerfully gauged with brilliantly smart people.
