Jia crosses $2 million in blockchain-based microfinance originations

We are thrilled to announce a major milestone in our journey to unlock growth for small businesses in emerging markets.
Jia has successfully crossed the $2 million mark in originations, marking a significant leap in our mission to expand financial access where it is needed most.
It took us 11 months from our launch in January 2023 to hit $1 million. It took us just 2 months to double that and reach $2 million.
Our commitment to financial inclusion is at the core of everything we do, and reaching the $2 million mark is not just a number for us — it represents the tangible impact we are making in the lives of small business owners.
This rapid growth is a testament to the dedication and hard work of our team, as well as the trust and support of our valued partners and customers, like Francis Njoroge, a spice vendor we met through our partner SasaPay. Francis was one of our first borrowers in Kenya and has continued to grow with Jia. Watch his story here:

Behind the scenes, there are countless stories of our team going above and beyond, ensuring that every small business owner we serve receives the support they need.
We want to give a special shoutout to one of our outstanding team members, Grace Gitari from Nairobi, Kenya. From staying up late to help a fruit vendor understand his repayment schedule to teaching the team how to do TikTok dances to Afrobeat hits (you should see our Jia-raffe rendition of King Promise’s “Terminator”!), Grace has consistently leveled up Jia’s game by bringing both outstanding customer service and infusions of creativity and fun.
As we celebrate this achievement, we want to express our gratitude to our growing community. Your trust and belief in Jia have fueled our journey, and with team members like Grace, we are more determined than ever to continue making a difference.
