Powerful JIVER SDKs (Software Development Kits) enable mobiles services/ startups to build and manage in-app messaging features for their apps in less than 5 minutes. We believe JIVER will be of significant help developers who need to take advantage of real-time communication features in a faster and easier way.

JIVER was backed by Techstars’ London 2014 batch (Techstars is one of the leading startup incubator in U.S, founded in 2007).

[Full-time Global Marketer position (Experienced/or Entry)]

2015 was a very successful year for JIVER, with our customer base growing by 10% per week. In preparation for full-fledged market expansion in North America in 2016, JIVER is looking for talented and enthusiastic marketers to work in our Seoul office.

As a B2B marketer with our startup, a successful candidate will manage social media channels and establish a presence in various marketing distribution channels, including corporate blogs and online developers’ communities.

We’re looking for team members who understand the key characteristics of successful social media and digital marketing content in US market. As a core member of our growth team, you will learn and grow through constant challenges and will be exposed to substantial growth opportunities. At the same time, you will also enjoy the freedom and responsibility to become a global marketing superstar with JIVER.

Responsibilities (held jointly with the rest of the marketing team)

  1. Inbound marketing
  • Develop and distribute content for our corporate blog.
  • Work with the design team to curate marketing content customized for each marketing channel in social media or online communities/ forums.
  • Plan and execute a paid marketing (e.g., social media, keyword marketing, etc.) campaign.
  • Identify and explore additional growth opportunities through new marketing channels (both on and offline).
  • Build relationships with major tech-related media in North America and develop press releases article to announce major company news

2. Outbound marketing

  • Develop and manage prospects for outbound marketing (mainly via cold e-mailing).
  • Send cold e-mails to prospects and follow up to generate leads that we will pass on to our sales team.
  • Identify and address areas for improvement in our key marketing metrics (e.g., open/click rate).

3. SEO (Search Engine Optimization)

4. Data-driven problem-solving to improve marketing performance

  • Diagnose key improvement areas for JIVER’s marketing activities via our internal web log, DB data, web analytics, etc.
  • Develop KPIs and build a data-driven reporting system.

5. Team-building and business development for key accounts with enterprise clients

  • Be involved in the recruitment process as we build an excellent marketing team.
  • Develop strategic alliances or enterprise-level clients.

Qualifications

  • Native English speaker and strong writing skills (our primary language is English and most of our client-facing and marketing work is for clients located abroad).
  • Strong problem-solving skills and data analytics capabilities.
  • Ability to handle multiple assignments effectively with a high level of attention to detail.

Desirable skills (Preferred but not required)

Experience in:

  • Managing a tech- or startup-related blog, or executing a social media marketing campaign.
  • Knowledge-sharing tech- or startup-related contents via major tech forums such as Stack Overflow, Quora, Reddit, etc.
  • Competency with productivity and automated marketing/sales tools (e.g., Emailhunter, Hubspot), web analytics tools (e.g., Google Analytics) or A/B testing tools (e.g., Optimizely, Leanplum)
  • Writing and creating MySQL queries, or ability to proactively communicate with developing team for extracting required data.

Experienced hires should have at least 3 years of marketing experiences for startups or online/ mobile services (experience in North American market is a plus)

Compensation and Core benefits

  • Location: JIVER Seoul office @ Maru180, Yeoksam-ro, Gangnam-gu
  • Working hours: Weekdays (Mon. — Fri.) 10 a.m. -7 p.m.
  • Base salary and 4 types of insurances (health, employment, industrial accident and national pension), plus negotiable stock option.

  • 2nd round: On-site interview with JIVER team at JIVER’s Seoul office.
