Climate change has impacted our communities, by wildfires, hurricanes, and rising sea levels. We have been informed that climate change has affected the world. But we must understand how it has affected our towns. In the following years, Denver, Colorado water levels will decrease causing more droughts and wildfires. The climate will also be changing the heat levels.
Climate Change is currently on the rise. Colorado recognizes climates’ serious oncoming issues affecting the population’s economy, environment, and lifestyle. “Colorado HB13–1293 commissioned a sector-by-sector analysis of the challenges that state residents and leaders will have to deal with in the coming decades.” This bill addresses homeowners who are at risk in their environment. Colorado HB 13–1293 will help those who are endangered.
“Vulnerability is not just a question of how climate change will affect resources in the state, it’s also a question of how well Colorado is prepared to deal with changes,” said Eric Gordon, co-lead editor of the report and a researcher with the Western Water Assessment (WWA).
Climate change increasing Colorado will have more incidents where new diseases are created affecting the elderly and people in poverty. Climate change impacts our health, with heat rising the air quality will decrease causing strokes. With temperatures rising summer heatwaves will be unbearable. More wildfires and droughts will occur. Wildfires will decrease the economy and increase the homeless issue in Colorado.
