Huxley’s adoptive family essentially treated him as a pet. From afar, they look like the stereotypical American dream family. But deep down, the family had a lot of narcissism and trauma affecting the household. The couple had a few narcissistic tendencies going to China. They entirely ignored Huxley’s conditions and started using him as a clickbait.

‘Where’s the next content? Where’s the next piece of this?’” he continued. “We weren’t daily at that point. We slowed down to probably three times a week, and they were asking, ‘Hey, can you do daily? Do some more content? We want to see how Huxley’s doing, how the family is getting along.’ It was like, Wow, okay, we have something here, and people are interested in our journey.”

The Stauffer family initially adopted Huxley for fame and fortune. But they did not know how much time and effort it takes to take care of a child with a disability. When Myka spoke out about being his mother, she states how she felt naive and undertrained. Being the mother of a child with a disability is very time consuming and draining. However, you keep pursuing it because you want a level of safety for your children. The Stauffer family used Huxley as a clickbait, then hid his disappearance from the world.

I believe the family deserves to go to court for negligence. Myka and James abused their parental roles. They put Huxley on the internet, and they began getting more views, likes, and interactions. Once they pulled him from the media, everyone backlashed since Huxley had health problems. Though they claim it was their good intention to let the boy go. It’s the way it handled that had the media in a panic.
