The grade I would give social media censorship is a B or even B-. Social media needs to be improved where factual evidence should not spread. The main issue behind factual evidence is social media can be used as a news outlet. If we allow social media to continue the way it does during a time as sensitive as today. People will get the wrong information. For example, trending on social media right now is there is going to be a civil war. This is incorrect, but this allowed other people to live in fear or others to make it a reality. Due to this, there have been protestors in Denver, Colorado vandalizing their communities. In Portland, the national guard was called to protect their town. This could have all been avoided if there was no false information being spread. If social media had a program where they could stop violators before the post is made it could be receiving an A. I do understand if social media had this program, it can be violating the first amendment. Overall, social media would not be the issue, but the way people have used it is the problem.
