Tik Tok

I think that it is definitely necessary to take security threats seriously but it aseems like there is little to no evidence that President Trump has provided to show that Tik Tok and its’ parent company ByteDance are a threat to national security. The fact that President Trump has not given ByteDance any clear direction for divesting or any clear repercussions if they do not divest shows that it isn’t as big of a threat to security as he is making it seem like. If ByteDance really did pose a serious threat then President Trump would most likely be taking it more seriously than he himself has been. I think that a lot of the reason for President Trump attacking ByteDance is to further his anti-China agenda and to also hurt China’s economy as Tik Tok has made billions of dollars for ByteDance.
