Tik Tok Ban Confusion

I might be biased, but I am glad that Tik Tok is still around. I think this app has a unique community. It is a great place for creatives like me to gather and showcase their work. Depending on the artistic medium, Tik Tok is great for everybody. For the most part, I think that this app does not need to be banned. I think the government’s possible ban is unnecessary. Every time you use a social media app, you always run the risk of someone collecting your data. That is how the internet works. If your data is not collected on Tik Tok they will find other means. I am actually surprised that Tik Tok is where the government is pointing their guns. Other social media apps are just as guilty. I know there was a lot of controversy around Facebook. It turns out, that the older generation was just confused about how this technology works. Mark Zuckerberg’s court trial is kind of a meme between us millennials. I don’t know if that’s the case for Tik Tok, but I’m sure their intention is not to cause harm to their users.
