Why did you choose JMU?

I always knew I wanted to go to JMU because of the vibrant culture, charming people, and beautiful surrounding farms and mountains. JMU fostering an open and accepting community that allows for hard work and success academically while also stressing the importance of human connection and student experience.

How did your degree from JMU lead you to where you are today?

The Finance program at JMU trained me to critical thinking, analysis, adapt, and consider outside variables that have propelled my financial management career. The case studies, financial modeling and mathematics prepared me for the unstructured nature of helping the government solve complex problems.

What does working for the Federal Government community mean to you?

Helping the government to improve its ability to oversee and manage financial operations is a great honor. It is fulfilling to leverage what i learned from JMU to serve the country and our nation in managing the financial operations that are required for some of our nation’s most pressing operations seen daily in the news that keep us safe, secure, and prosperous as a nation.
