Mike Battle is the President and CEO of Battle Resource Management Holdings, Inc. (BRMi). — 30 years of experience in operations management, supply chain optimization, sales management, marketing and business strategy for leading government and commercial IT organizations. Organizational leadership and strategy experience from IBM, Computer Sciences Corporation, Allied Signal, Commerce One, and High Performance Technologies Inc. Founded BRMi in 2001. Why did you choose JMU?

I was recruited to JMU for the football team. I committed to the school because of the strength of its Communication Arts program and the opportunity to help move the program from Division III to IAA.

How did your degree from JMU lead you to where you are today?

The overall experience at JMU gave me core leadership skills, increased awareness of the value of “team”, basic business management and technology competencies and a passion for making a difference in my work and personal life.

What does working for the Federal Government community mean to you?

It is all about the mission. Given the mission objectives of the client’s we serve, I feel a sense of accomplishment and impact. I have had the opportunity to impact areas from immigration to COVID vaccines. What a way to build a career.
