Create a 3D Movie effect in Photoshop

The easiest effect way to create a 3D movie effect with Red, Green and Blue channels. In 6 easy steps create yourself one.

Steps:

1) Open image in Photoshop and make a copy of the background (CTRL + J) and then hide the background image.

2) Select the new copy, rename it to “RED” and and click on “fx” icon below and select “Blending Options”.

3) Now under “Advanced blending”, deselect G(Green), B(Blue) Channels and Select R(Red) click OK.

4) Next, duplicate that layer, rename it to “Cyan”. Select blending options and this time deselect R(Red) and select G(Green) and B(Blue) and click OK.

5) Now select the “Red Layer” and with the “Move tool” move the image towards “right” by tapping the right arrow key 7–10 times. Do the same for the “Cyan Layer” but towards “left” with the left arrow key.

6) Final step, unhide the background image and merge all the layers and your done.
