A lifelong process.

Are you tired of discovering your potential, quality of life, talents, or aspirations inside you?

The answer is, to participate in some personal development activities and to figure out the real hidden potential and aspirations.
The struggle starts by figuring out what is it going to be like when we set out a vision or goal.

Let’s talk about why personal development is important?

There are multiple theories about this. One of them being Self-actualisation. We all have an in-built need for personal development which occurs through a process called self-actualization.

Analyzing your existing skills will help you to identify both skills and personal qualities that could be used in another field. Further examples of transferable skills are IT skills, interpersonal skills, communication (verbal and written), organizational skills, literacy, and numeracy, problem-solving and understanding the needs of others or emotional intelligence.

ASSERTIVENESS:

Assertiveness is talked about when we call for social and communication skills development. Although everyone acts in passive and aggressive ways from time to time, such ways of responding often result from a lack of self-confidence and are, therefore, inappropriate ways of interacting with others.

“ Assertiveness should always be based on balance. It helps us to understand what we need and helps to maintain a balance.
When you’re assertive, you are self-assured and draw power from this to get your point across firmly, fairly and with empathy.”

Aggression is often confused with assertiveness when it comes to a matter of needs. We cannot imbalance situations based on need.

Aggressive behavior is based on winning. You do what is in your own best interest without regard for the rights, needs, feelings, or desires of other people.
When you’re aggressive, the power you use is selfish. You may come across as pushy or even bullying. You take what you want, often without asking.

In a nutshell, I would like to conclude by writing that personal development depends entirely on us. It starts within us to maintain a balance between what we want and what we need.

Hi!
My name is Vijaya and I work as a Project Coordinator at Zestgeek Solutions P Limited for the past 6 months now.

It has been a beautiful experience until now.
A lot of us fail to follow what we love because we aren’t able to discover the things we love to do.

JobsBuddha is one such example too. Follow our blog profile and Facebook page with the name JobsBuddha and get tuned for more details.
