Thanksgiving weekend, the weekend where we get family and friends that we love but are still trying to figure out how we like. Here’s how to deal with them.

Every minute of every day, thoughts pop into your head. What are you supposed to do with all these thoughts? Ask yourself: Is This True?

This is a big weekend.

Yesterday was Thanksgiving, and this weekend, most of us are spending time with family and friends we don’t see most of the year. People who we’re supposed to love, (and sometimes that’s easy) but sometimes they seem to do everything in their power to not make you love them.

Sometimes it feels like their life’s purpose is to get under your skin and stay there.

So how does asking “is this true?” help at all?

Well, when we’re spending time with people that:

  1. Matter a lot, and
  2. We don’t know as well as we want

We spend most of our time making assumptions about them.

We assume their intentions, we assume what they meant when they said, “Yeah, this week is… g r e a t.” We assume what they meant yesterday when…
