The Freedom Principle: Experiments in Art and Music, 1965 to Now linked the vibrant legacy of the 1960s African American avant-garde to current art and culture.
Each cube is made from shop scraps salvaged from Chicago’s alleys and defunct furniture parts. The cubes are pieced together out of the guts of the art world, as it rubs against the fabrication and construction worlds, and finally becomes an archive of Chicago material history- John Preus
