The Consensus Podcast is one that strives to seek out and discuss the most controversial topics of this day and age. We debate on anything that is circulating the internet or politics and work to find a point of common ground on whatever topic is being discussed. That is why this week we chose to find two people who are deeply invested in our new issue: Whether pineapple has a place on pizza.

This topic has been a deeply divisive issue within the conversations of common people as well as world-renowned chefs. It has even been discussed, though in a mostly joking manner, by politicians including the Prime Ministers of Iceland and Canada. It has become one of the most prolific online debates since the argument of whether that certain “dress” was black and blue or white and gold. That is why this week we want to put an end to the debate once and for all.

That is why we have brought in Luca Nottingham, a world-renowned chef in his own right, who owns two 3-star Michelin rated restaurants in both New York and London. He has the respect of Gordon Ramsey and Wolfgang Puck for the diversity of his palette and is an expert in Italian cuisine. He deeply disagrees with the notion that pineapple should be allowed anywhere near pizza. On the opposing side, we have Jeff Panopolous, the great-grandson of the inventor of Hawaiian Pizza and an avid consumer of it. He wants to uphold the honor of his family and defend his own tastes. Here we will see them debate the merits and detractors of this controversial dish. Listen to the, sometimes heated, discussion below.
