“What is John’s Day Off?”
Okay, hi, everyone. Welcome to John’s Day Off, the blog.
I’m just writing this little note to you so you know what to expect with this “blog” and what kinda content you could be seeing. As the name hopefully indicates, this blog is going to be a super casual and relaxed open space for me to gather all my writing and ideas, etc. Stuff you do when you got the time to — on your days off.
The point of this blog is summed up perfectly in the first line of Drake’s verse on “Truffle Butter” — thinking out loud. That’s what this blog is all about. Just me, thinking out loud. Now, how that thinking comes out may vary a lot. Could be a short story, could be an idea I have about how to make the web better, could be mental vomit or life lessons I learned. It could be anything. And that’s the point. I can do anything I want with it. But that’s where the fun comes in. Because then you never know what to expect.
So. Yeah. Follow this blog or bookmark it or something. I’m interesting, I swear. I’ve got some things to say. It’d be great if you listen. Better yet if you respond. I really do welcome that. Don’t be afraid to hit me up about anything I write. (Just don’t be stupid/hateful because I can be very generous with that mute, block, report combo)
