Welcome to our new Director of Client Success, Stephanie Dworkin!
Stephanie, we’re thrilled to have you on board! Tell us about your background. I come from a background in both technology and law. I started my career at ZocDoc in New York City. My time at the company fostered an interest in how technology can be utilized to help decrease social inequities. My passion for social justice led me to law school where I spent a year working at the Innocence Project as a legal intern. After graduating, I worked as a corporate associate at Goodwin where I was able to assist on a number of fantastic pro bono projects. I am so thrilled to be joining the Paladin team and to continue to help our clients increase their pro bono engagement!
What drew you to Paladin? I was drawn to Paladin because of its innovative approach to closing the justice gap. Having worked at both a legal services organization and at a large firm, I was inspired by the vast impact that the company has in connecting those seeking justice with attorneys who are able to help. Most lawyers, myself included, went to law school with the intention of helping people. Paladin makes it easy for attorneys, regardless of their practice area, to carry out that mission and use their training to make a meaningful difference in the lives of others.
Why is access to justice important to you? The legal rights and protections afforded to individuals only work when one has the ability to enforce them. Far too often people are denied justice, not because they don’t have a strong case, but because they don’t have access to counsel. Every person, regardless of socioeconomic status, should be able to attain the justice they deserve.
What do you see as the biggest opportunity for Paladin’s products and technology? Paladin has created a global network connecting those who need legal assistance with attorneys who can help. This software allows lawyers and firms to bypass administrative hurdles so they can focus on what is really important — helping others. On any given day, there are thousands of people who don’t have access to counsel. However, there are also thousands of attorneys who have the resources necessary to assist. The need exists and the resources exist — the missing puzzle piece was Paladin. With the help of this technology, I envision a world in which every person who deserves justice will be able to achieve it.

What are you most looking forward to in your new role? I am so excited about helping to increase pro bono engagement! It is a huge win that the success of our clients is built upon their ability to help others! What could be better than that!?
