10 reasons why Join.Chat is better than Telegram
As they say, a great ship asks deep waters, and we’ve also been asked to compare Join.Chat with Telegram.
Without further ado:
1. STRUCTURE
Join.Chat: Every project has 3 own channels — Broadcast, Public and Private. In Broadcast channel you get all the news; In Public channel you discuss specific topics (White Paper, Sale, Bounty, etc.); In Private channel you can discuss confidential and very important subjects (Fund, Whales, etc.), cause it is protected by a password.
Accurate and functional interface structure — your base to manage big communities easily.
Telegram: No structure whatsoever — mix of the private messages, subscription channels and groups. As the result, it’s hard to fully interact with the community.
2. DIRECT MESSAGES
Join.Chat: There are no direct messages (except with admins) within the project — if you want to say something, say it in a public group discussion.
This feature was consciously excluded to highlight community importance and to avoid mobile data parsing.
Telegram: Actually intended as P2P messenger have all the disadvantages of it in terms of the community management — check out our latest article about it.
3. REPUTATION
Join.Chat: KYC and multi-level reputation system reflect a real state of project activity and members involvement.
For example, 5.000 members community with evenly high engagement will have a better reputation than other project with 15.000 inactive member.
Telegram: Fake chat members, spam in direct messages and scam projects — reputation what?
4. SOFTWARE AS A SERVICE
Join.Chat: Possibility to build in the Join.Chat software directly to a website.
Telegram: Functioning just as a side messenger, Telegram can’t easily perform the very first communication between a potential member and a project.
5. ADVERTISING
Join.Chat: Independent RTB-system with a seperate account will help to set targeted ads and analyze the results.
Telegram: The only way of advertising are spam attacks and paid posts, and without any inner analytic tool.
6. LANGUAGE
Join.Chat: Instant translation of the whole interface to any language, including native managers, supports and inner chats dialogues.
Telegram: Ability to set the language of the main interface, but without full adaptation.
7. PERSONAL DATA
Join.Chat: A decision on sharing personal data stays up to every member. Projects can send a request to buy personal information and a user can decide, whether to sell it or to stay semi-anonymous.
Telegram: All the information that a user feels in to its profile can be taken without any agreement.
8. HEAD HUNTING
Join.Chat: Separate career service based on Join.Chat platform that helps to find a job in verified projects or to find an incredible asset in the team.
Telegram: The only way to find a job or an officer is to subscribe to a bunch of career-oriented channels/chats.
9. ANALYTICS
Join.Chat: All the needed information is provided in admin account, so it is easy to set KPI’s for community managers and track activity 24/7.
Telegram: There are some side tools to collect basic statistics of the channel, but none to analyze members behavior inside a group.
