The Battle Within Rages
Will she win the fight
Her heart beats double staccato,
And she questions what it is she is contemplating,
Beginning to believe she’s finally lost her mind,
Taking on more than she can chew amid instigating.
As the sun sinks behind the horizon,
She lays her head at night filled with concern,
Self-doubt bottled within her head,
Wondering if she’s too old to ever learn.
And the next morning when the sun winks her rays,
She wakes to the ponderous of forever dread,
She questions her abilities, her very wisdom,
Deciding she’d be better off staying put instead.
But as the hours pass she finds her equilibrium,
Pastes on her smile and dresses for success,
So much to organise, no time for defeat,
Time is running through the hourglass, no less.
Her worries are pushed aside to be mourned at a later date,
Oh gosh, the sun is shining, the day perfection,
The birds encourage her with their tunes,
So she runs with her positive attitude, her “go girl, set your direction.”
