Most people aren’t good at their jobs, but not because of a lack of skills. They lack the enjoyment their job could and should bring them.

We spend most of our lives working, yet we do jobs we dislike and have no passion for.

I know people who weren’t the most skilled when they worked in a certain industry they hated. Yet, they love the industry they work within now. Those skills which did not shine in an industry they disliked, now shine in one which they do.

It’s not the person that’s bad at their job. It’s their lack of passion that makes them seem unskilled. Don’t get me wrong, that statement isn’t black and white, but it holds true for so many of us in this world.

Scenario:

Bill and Ben share the exact same skills, and they both have the exact same position at a Hip Hop record label. But, Bill hates music and can’t stand Hip Hop. Ben couldn’t live without it. Who’s more likely to burn out? Who’s more likely to earn themselves a promotion?

Who wins?

Answers on a postcard… Or in the comments. Your choice. ☺️
