The Internet rocks. Seriously. On Reddit this week some guy who drives a garbage truck posts a photo of the inside of his cab:

No big deal. Just a photo from the inside of his garbage truck. This type of photo is called a CabShot. Shortly after he posted this photo something pretty freaking amazing happened. People started trying to one up each other by posting their CabShots. This guy posted his plumbing van:

And things intensified a little with this guy posting the cab of his aircraft pushback tractor:

And then things started getting a little out of hand:

And hundreds of photos of the inside of cabs started flooding Reddit. And then something amazing happened:

A freaking nuclear submarine! As if things couldn’t get any more crazy, they do:

An Astronaut! Chris Hatfield joins the conversation with a photo of his cab on the Space Station! It really can’t get any better than this right? Wrong.

That’s the cab of the Millennium Falcon from the set of the new Star Wars movie (Episode VIII). And who posted this photo? None other than the actor who plays Chewbacca: Peter Mayhew.

So how does the garbage truck driver feel about the crazy CabShot battle of 2016 that he started by posting a photo of the inside of his garbage truck? One Redditor asks:

Man, I feel bad for the garbage man. He posted his pic to show it off and then people just kept trying to one-up him until we’ve got astronauts and Chewbacca in here. Damn.

And the Garbage truck guy responds:

You kidding? This is the best possible outcome, I was expecting maybe 100 up votes from a few people who liked garbage trucks as a kid, and now I get to see the inner workings of some of the coolest machines made by mankind.

I woke my wife up and told her excitedly that I posted a picture of my truck a couple days ago and now astronauts and wookies are showing theirs, and well, she just said that’s nice and went back to sleep, but fuck if I ain’t excited. I love this kind of stuff.

I love the Internet.
