Some people are afraid of change, but Turner Hill embraces it and doesn’t hold back. Majoring in journalism and going to University of Georgia were far from his original plans. He transferred five times before landing at UGA, and he switched his major multiple times in the process. When he started college, his goal was simply to complete a degree and start earning money, but eventually his perspective shifted and he decided to pursue something he actually loved at a school he had always wanted to go to.

While most people would consider that much transition overwhelming, Hill refused to settle for what was easy or comfortable. He took risks to get him to where he is today. Transferring to UGA and starting a new major were outside his comfort zone, but he knows that change is what you make of it and decided to be intentional with his time. Instead of just focusing on himself, he found ways to connect with and impact the people around him. He quickly got involved with the UGA chapter of Baptist Collegiate Ministries and now leads a small group there. He is also diving into journalism and isn’t afraid to dream big for the future and chase after those dreams without holding back. With determination to live life to the full and a willingness to give everything 100%, he has adapted to change, overcome obstacles and pursued purpose in the midst of transition.
