A poem.

I exercise and eat right like I’m supposed to do,
but my clothes don’t fit like they used to,
the other day I noticed a gray hair,
I couldn’t help but stare.

A wrinkle here, a wrinkle there,
I’m trying not to care,
but as the days go by,
I can’t help but ask why.

Why did I worry so much when I was young,
most of my problems back then were pretty dumb,
but hindsight seems to always be 20/20,
as I’ve gotten older I’ve realized that solutions can be plenty.

I know not what the future holds for me,
but I do know that I am in good company,
I’m surrounded by people I love dearly,
they help me see the world clearly.

So come on old age, take your best shot,
I’m ready for all that you’ve got,
I’m like a fine wine, I only get better with age,
I’ll continue to write my life’s story page after page.
