For an Honorable Reason, Like an Honorable Human

I didn’t do a single good deed I’ve ever done in hopes I’d one day have a following or readership to share it with. Not inside or outside of the fellowship. No good deed I’ve done since gaining some traction as a writer was done for that reason either.

I did them simply because they were the right thing to do, for the right reasons. I’ve never offered or given away money, clothes or food hoping the recipient who were obviously at bare minimum down on their luck if they needed those things, would return the favor, compensate me in anyway or pay me back. I wouldn’t have accepted it if they tried. I’ve done so for strangers I’ll never see again, and hope they’re better off today all around then when our paths crossed. I didn’t post about it on social media and only point a few instances out to all of you, for the story’s sake and to get my point across.

My point is, if your good deed is motivated by any selfish or celf centered purpose, just don’t even bother. Some people, especially the kind I’ve mentioned, have it hard enough without you exploiting them just to show your Facebook friends what a good person you are, or atleast think you are.
