I Stalked Someone. Was it worth the Risk?

I walk along my usual path towards the train station when all of a sudden I notice her. She walks in a hurried fashion on a different path than mine. Does she know something I don’t?

I’ve started following her. The train station is located next to a big Stadium. Instead of going the regular route around the Stadium, she chooses to walk alongside it, on a path I’ve never considered before.

It was worth the risk. I made it to my train early!

That woman? I followed her because the only reason to walk that early toward the Stadium is to walk toward the train. It was a risk because she could have walked someplace else and I could have reached a dead end following her. And that would result in me missing the train.

But I was curious.

If she were to walk towards the train, I could discover a new way that I haven’t tried before. In the worst case I would have been late to this train. But on the off chance that she does know a shorter route, I would get faster to the train station each and every day!

And I always look for the best path.

Oftentimes I try going in a different way toward a familiar place I’ve walked to a million times. And there were plenty of instances where I reached a dead end or had a way longer road ahead of me.

But I’ve tried.

And you should try to. Don’t just try different physical roads. Try tackling different things from a different angle.

This is what creativity is all about!

We are creating something out of nothing, and it looks completely different than someone else’s creation. It’s because all of the accumulated experience is made up of different puzzle pieces making a different picture.

And it can even translate into writing.

Try writing different things and don’t be afraid of someone’s thoughts. On a personal note, this title was risky and more on the clickbaity side but I tried this different direction. In the worst case people will flame me and this story would go down a bottomless pit.

Actually, there is no worst case.

I’ve enjoyed writing this. And I hope you enjoyed as well if you’ve reached thus far, so give it a clap or fifty. You might also enjoy this interesting thought:
