If you are seeking to become wealthy, you had better familiarize yourself with the ideas of Adam Smith.

I am amazed at the number of people who consider themselves to be entrepreneurs and yet are not familiar with Smith. He wrote two books and I have read both on my journey.

Adam Smith (1723 –1790) was a Scottish philosopher and economist who was a key figure during the Scottish Enlightenment and a pioneer concerning political economy.

Seen by some as “The Father of Capitalism”, or “The Father of Economics” he wrote two classic works…

1. The Theory of Moral Sentiments (1759)

2. … and An Inquiry into the Nature and Causes of the Wealth of Nations (1776).

The second book, often abbreviated as The Wealth of Nations, is considered his magnum opus. For most economists and game theorists, it is the first modern work that treats economics as an academic discipline and a comprehensive system.
