Words are useful to argue with but they can never bring you to the truth. This is the idea that Ludwig Wittgenstein, the great logician and linguist struggled with his entire life.

I have isolated 26 words that I use as a sacred mantra throughout the day that I use to block the shadows and any intrusive voices.

Here is a list of them with short descriptions.

1. Love — perhaps the strongest of all positive emotions, love is a feeling of deep and enduring affection for someone, along with a willingness to put their needs ahead of your own; it can be directed towards an individual, a group of people, or even all humanity.

2. Contentment — a peaceful, comforting, and low-key sense of happiness and well-being.

3. Serenity — a calm and peaceful feeling of acceptance of oneself.

4. Interest — a feeling of curiosity or fascination that demands and captures your attention.

5. Joy — a sense of elation, happiness, and perhaps even exhilaration, often experienced as a sudden spike due to something good happening.

6. Gratitude — a feeling of thankfulness, for something specific or simply all-encompassing, often accompanied by humility, and even reverence.

7. Hope — a feeling of optimism and anticipation about a positive future.

8. Pride — a sense of approval of oneself and pleasure in an achievement, skill, or personal attribute.

9. Satisfaction — a sense of pleasure and contentment you get from accomplishing something or fulfilling a need.

10. Amusement — a feeling of lighthearted pleasure and enjoyment, often accompanied by smiles and easy laughter.

11. Inspiration — feeling engaged, uplifted, and motivated by something you witnessed.

12. Relief — the feeling of happiness you experience when an uncertain situation turns out for the best or a negative outcome is avoided.

13. Elevation — the feeling you get when you see someone engaging in an act of kindness, generosity, or inner goodness, spurring you to aspire to similar action.

14. Enjoyment — a feeling of taking pleasure in what is going on around you, especially in situations like a leisure activity or social gathering.

15. Reciprocal Altruism — usually referred to as an act of selflessness and generosity towards others, but is the feeling or actual benefit you get from helping others.

16. Affection — an emotional attachment to someone or something, accompanied by a liking for them and a sense of pleasure in their company.

17. Cheerfulness — a feeling of brightness, being upbeat and noticeably happy or chipper; feeling like everything is going your way.

18. Surprise (the good kind!) — a sense of delight when someone brings you unexpected happiness or a situation goes even better than you had hoped.

19. Confidence — emotion involving a strong sense of self-esteem and belief in yourself; can be specific to a situation or activity, or more universal.

20. Admiration — a feeling of warm approval, respect, and appreciation for someone or something.

21. Enthusiasm — a sense of excitement, accompanied by motivation and engagement.

22. Happiness — a feeling of pleasure and contentment in the way things are going; a general sense of enjoyment of and enthusiasm for life.

23. Eagerness — like a less intense form of enthusiasm; a feeling of readiness and excitement for something.

24. Awe — an emotion that is evoked when you witness something grand, spectacular, or breathtaking, sparking a sense of overwhelming appreciation.

25. Euphoria — an intense and all-encompassing sense of joy or happiness, often experienced when something extremely positive and exciting happens.

26. Optimism — positive and hopeful emotion that encourages you to look forward to a bright future, one in which you believe that things are likely to work out.

Stay focused in these 26 in through word and deed.

Mental gymnastics can make you think you are correct but all argument is relative. If you wish to reach the absolute human potential you have to have inner wisdom. This can be inspired by embracing positive emotions as a foundation for being in the material world. They will block the “shadow”, here, there, and everywhere.

The Takeaway

The mystic is by nature internal, and this ultimately serves to exclude it from political issues such as social justice. Though the mystic may choose a political perspective, doing so is still distinct from the experience itself. Mysticism thus becomes a personal matter of cultivating inner states of equanimity, tranquility, and wisdom. Rather than seeking to transform the world, the mystic accesses inner wisdom so that they may accommodate themselves to the, often dysfunctional status quo.

They may still, transform the world by interacting with it through love, kindness, compassion, empathy, wisdom, goodness, appreciation of beauty, grace, gratitude, forgiveness, mindfulness, patience, and spiritual surrender.

No matter what the philosophical foundations may be concerning mystical experience, the experience is almost always internal, and private. Increasingly there is a tendency in my way of thinking to place the mystical in the psychological realm of personal experiences. I do this, even when the mystical appears through Lucid Dreams, Astral Projections, and other altered states.

We are, after all living in the material world, and so we reference in conversation through human social interaction in that same material world

However as far as any outsider can see, the mystic does this for no other reason but to alleviate anxiety, confusion, and stress.
