This is as close as I’ve come to canceling my Times subscription. The country’s best newspaper just shitcanned a reporter for telling the truth. How wrong is that?

I’ve been impressed with your work since I tried to track down Mohammed Fazul’s wife in East Africa in 2007; I couldn’t get her to meet with me. You actually found the first wife on Comoros, from what I remember. And it was an evocative, well-written story.

A loss for the Times, journalism, and the public. In the Time of Covid, we need your reporting. And we always need union activists.
