Whenever starting out on any project, challenge, or course for the very first time, one thing is clearly evident in the way you approach and go about it — You are an amateur!

This has become evident to me in many instances, from writing to coding, to design, to speaking, to communicating etc virtually every new challenge I’ve embarked upon, I’ve done so from the position of an amateur.

One mistake I keep repeating is thinking I can get so much done like a pro when I’m doing something I’m entirely new to for the first time. It's such an easy trap to fall into. I plan like I know the ins and outs of whatever it is I’m getting into and then I get puzzled when all doesn’t go according to plan.

It’s totally okay to adapt to changes and learnings in such endeavours, but from the get-go I always think I can do so much.

When I take a look at most of the things I do set out to do and end up not doing, it’s not that they are quite impossible to get done, it’s just that I’ve set out with so much for a start without understanding the scope of what I’m trying to get done.

While I’m always learning and making adjustments, I’ve begun to catch myself more often whenever I try to do so much at a time.

Holla and Shalom ❤!
