Thinking long-term and planning in marathons is something I’ve been very deliberate about recently. This was one major learning I had over the previous year and one I’m trying to be intentional about recently. It’s relatively easy to fall into trap of short-term thinking and I’m practising catching myself more often whenever that happens.

Overcoming inertia is very important to get things done especially when it involves boring tasks. Irrespective of whether a task is boring or exciting, if it is important it must be done and it is not very often you are given the chance to make such a choice.

The moment you’ve got something going another crucial factor to accomplishing it is ‘the big Mo’ — Momentum. Momentum is the lifeblood of any endeavour and as a result a very expensive skillset in one’s arsenal.

Preserving and maintaining momentum is core to being consistent and building a great work ethic. I’m still in the early stage of my career and having a good work ethic is necessary for me to have an amazing career. Consistency is one key skill that can make all the difference between mediocre and great work.

One interesting and implicit result of constantly doing is that you craft out a workflow that is bullet-proof and unique to you. A powerful and well-mastered workflow can make your work seem like a terrific piece from an orchestra.

Workflow is built from constantly working on various projects and taking the learnings from starting them to getting them to completion and adapting it into one’s process, course-correcting and making changes wherever necessary. Over time, one becomes in possession of a workflow that is bullet-proof — one that immensely increases the quality of output.

Have a great day.

Holla and Shalom ❤!
