UX Review for App Innovative

Innovative Flash Card App

Here is the 2nd app in the app review series as a part of my UX learning. Like previous post will not try to be verbose.

Home Page

Pros

• User guide, Auto scroll gains the users attention
• Clear instructions
• Simple design
• Choice of changing the language on the front page (Call for action item) “I want to learn”
• Highlighted popular language
• Sign out on the home page

Cons

• No user onboarding

Navigation

Pros

• Is easy and quick

Cons

• 2nd page didn’t use the standard symbols, as teacher looks like messenger
• Footer is light colored and too many choices.

Sign in Page

Pros

• Quick loading
• Change in the language is on homepage to quick

Cons

• No social signup, for some users it may be harder to add information.

App Contents

Pros

• Clearly placed, enriched content in various language.
• Level of language learning with beginner to advance with audio, videos support Word bank to use to refresh the vocabulary quickly and also offline storage to use it

Cons

• The audio does not pause when you leave screen, you have to manually pause it by pressing the button which is hard to find.

Settings/Admin

Pros

• Detailed and options to customize.

Cons

• No reminder to use app

Final Analysis

• This app is clear, accessible, purposeful, use friendly and desirable. With some fixes this can be highly rated app.
• Good content and various options for learning including Audio, Videos, Games and Words.
• Offline lessons and Word bank are available.
• Interactive Phrases helps quick learn.
