This weekend our crew decided to go up to Prescott valley to check out Lynx lake. Lynx Lake is a reservoir inside Prescott National Forest, roughly 5 miles east of Prescott, Arizona, in the Bradshaw Mountains. The lake is situated at 5,530 elevation and is supplied for fishing. It is a standout amongst the most well known amusement regions in focal Arizona. Mellow climate, the cool ponderosa pine backwoods, trout fishing, kayaking, mountain climbing, birdwatching draw in visitor from all through Arizona.

The lake was framed in 1952, when a dam was placed in Lynx Creek. Day use and camping permits are available in Lynx lake. lake shore loop Trail is a 2 mile hike around lake, offers amazing views from different cornel of Lynx lake. There are no motorized boat allowed in Lynx lake, which makes Lynx lake perfect location for kayaking and paddle boarding. Alligator juniper is one of interesting plant life that can be find all around Lynx lake. Lynx lake is open all year around and it alway stocked with rainbow trout for fishing.

Our crew camped out at Lynx lake for two nights and it was one of the greatest camping experiences. During our first night, we experienced camping under level 2 storm, which it was consist of heavy rain and lighting. Since we have kayaks we spent most of the day kayaking around the lake and during evening hike the loop trail to capture the sunset.

Fee: $5 for day use and $18 per night for camp site.

Direction: Lynx Lake is just a few miles from Prescott which is about 112 miles north of Phoenix and about 50 miles south of flagstaff. From Interstate 17, exit west on Arizona Route 69 toward Prescott. Before reaching Prescott, turn left (south) on Walker Road and follow the signs to Lynx Lake.
